Just LOOK at that baby face! Such a beauty! My friend, Gabrielle, has the most beautiful family so I just had to take them out to downtown Wilmington for a little family mini session followed by a birthday cupcake to celebrate Melanie's 1st birthday! Melanie and her sister, Mya, are adorable and my little girl absolutely loves them. I had a ball spending a little time with them on this morning family shoot!
It's hard to believe you are a one year old little girl now, when not so long ago your Mama and I were chatting baby names and wondering just who you would be when you finally arrived. Sweet, curious, calm, interested, beautiful, loving... that's who that little baby has become! Although you weren't the typical messy baby in this cake smash, I think we did just fine capturing the little toddler you are in this moment. Clair, happiest birthday wishes to you, sweet girl. You are so very loved!

She just kills me with those big brown eyes and her adorable little smile, so so sweet! Josie and I go waaaaay back, you may remember her Mom's maternity shoot, Reveal Party, and Josie's newborn sessions! When Katie called me to book Josie's 1 Year Cake Smash session, I first had to pinch myself because there was no possible way a full year had already flown by and we were prepping for a first birthday for that sweet newborn. Seriously you guys, how in the world is it all flying by so fast?? I of course jumped at the chance to see Josie for this photo session and I think you would have to agree that her Mom pulled together some pretty sweet props for us!
