Adkins Arboretum in Tuckahoe State Park, Ridgely Maryland is a beautiful option for photography sessions. Even with the limitations that surround us at this crazy point in time in the world, the Arboretum still offers many beautiful locations throughout their walking trails to use for socially distanced photography sessions. Katie & Josh, thank you so much for taking me on this maternity photography adventure with you. I loved exploring the Arboretum and getting to know you two! So looking forward to seeing your sweet girls face pop up on my social media feed!

Can I just start by saying how much I love this beautiful family? Over the years I have seen their sweet Family of 3 has grown to a Party of Six! I feel so incredibly lucky to not only have been introduced to this bunch years ago, but to keep being asked back to document their family as they grow over the years. You are the best! Can I just start by saying how much I love this beautiful family? I met Katie & Mike in North Carolina for their first daughter’s 1st birthday photo session after they were referred to me by my military-brat school days friend, Molly circa 1992 or so. Friends, social media is such a fantastic thing for us military brats! I have been able to reconnect with SO many old friends because of Facebook and the like! Flash forward to present day and I have been photographing this military family from North Carolina, to Georgia and now Virginia. Over the years I have seen their sweet Family of 3 has grown to a Party of Six! I feel so incredibly lucky to not only have been introduced to this bunch years ago, but to keep being asked back to document their family as they grow over the years. You do not want to miss their last photo session when I met their newborn, Nathan! You are the best! Love you guys!

Winter Maternity Session │Alexandria, VA
Winter maternity session in Alexandria, Virginia with two of the most beautiful people I know, inside and out.
It’s funny how the world works… Domonique & Darryl came into my life after being referred to me for their engagement session by a mutual friend. We hit it off and by the end of their engagement shoot, they felt like old friends to me, as we shared chit-chat about military life and Fort Bragg where Darryl and I each had lived growing up. I was later hired to photograph their wedding which in hindsight was definitely one of my favorite weddings to date! Their friends & family are amazing, so fun, so energetic and just truly amazing people and I had the BEST time on their wedding day! As luck would have it, when I moved to Maryland, they just so happened to be living in Alexandria, VA, a short car ride away and we were able to pick up our photo sessions where we left off with a Christmas session and the MOST AMAZING surprise birthday party for Darryl with Surprise Baby Announcement (stay tuned, post coming soon!). Now here we are just a few short weeks before the birth of their little girl spending a blustery Virginia afternoon together for their maternity session.
