Fort Fisher, NC | The Davis Family
Fort Fisher is definitely one of my top three favorite local shoot locations, hands down! The setting is absolutely gorgeous, the light never ceases to amaze as it peeks through the trees in the most beautiful of ways and it's just a great way to spend a family photo session because the little ones have so much fun as we explore the property! The Davis family and I spent golden hour there a few weeks ago and I am in love with the images of their lovely family of four!

The Williams family is one of those families who has been with me from just about the beginning of my photography escapade. First up: adorable sisters, Claire & Reagan!
Little brother Luke is a doll! And that outfit with the teeny, tiny baby suspenders and tweed pants- I die!
I'm fairly certain those kiddo giggles came about after Mike happened to say something to the effect of "reindeer poop". Ha! Whatever works, right?
This moment was the cutest thing ever! Claire & Reagan thought it was hilarious that Luke kept trying to crawl towards the camera, so they each grabbed a suspender and held on for dear life :)
People sometimes wonder what a photo shoot with me is like. I can tell you one thing: it's fun! I would rather spend my time photographing your family as they really are, versus putting you in posed arrangements to get that "perfect" shot. I want you to hold each print in your hand and hear the laughs that went along with that moment in time. I want you to pass by a framed print in your home and think about the way it truly captured your youngest child's natural smile when it seems SO hard to get that smile in a photo otherwise.
Above all else: we have fun, and then I deliver those feel good moments back to you in the most beautiful prints you have laid hands on.

Laryn & Jayden Wrightsville Beach Session
For this photo session, we headed out to Wrightsville Beach to enjoy a quiet, early morning with our babies & my camera...
So, my hairdresser , Stacey, is pretty darned awesome and we have been able to work together over the years, I photograph her babies, she tames the mane! Lucky for me, her sister Laryn is ALSO awesome and she and her hubby Matthew have the cutest little girl, Jayden, who I get to photograph! For this photo session, we headed out to Wrightsville Beach to enjoy a quiet, early morning with our babies & my camera...

Laryn, I think you need to go ahead and let us all in on the secret to not looking like we just had a kid a few months ago, k?
The next few photographs crack me up! My little girl, Isla was a few months old here and we decided to put the kids in a big fabric bin and see how they would interact. Isla had never been around another baby before. Her reaction is priceless!

With gorgeous weather just around the corner, I thought I would start my game of Blog Catch-up with this warm, beachy photo session in Oak Island of the Greene Family! I absolutely adore their little family. The twins, Mack & Caroline & the newest sibling Elizabeth are incredibly cute and used to my antics now as this is a few sessions in for their family and myself!
I love how they tried to help their little sister walk on the sand. They look so proud that she's theirs!
