Fall Mini Sessions │Sasser Family
Whitney & Chad are the sweetest couple! I was lucky enough to photograph their fall engagement session, gorgeous Oak Island wedding & Whitney’s beautiful Fort Fisher bridal session. I could not wait to travel down for my bi-annual NC visit to the Wilmington area and meet Bowdie! We were able to get together for a photo session at the same nature trail in Hampstead where we took their engagement photos with their little one and I’m just completely in love with her! She’s a doll!

Fall Mini Sessions │Gabby, Mya & Melanie
There is no denying just how gorgeous these girls are, and to know them is to know that this statement is true both inside and out. My family absolutely adores Gabby, Mya & Melanie! We have gotten together for several photo sessions over the years like sweet Melanie’s 1st Birthday, my little girl Isla claims both Mya & Melanie as two of her very best friends and I am always so thrilled when we are able to spend a little time together, behind the lens or otherwise.

I adore the Divenanzo Family and have loved photographing their beautiful kiddos for many years. From sweet Clair’s 1st Birthday session to a fun Holden Beach sunset mini, the Divenanzo Family has been one of my absolute favorite families to spend some photo time with! Even though I am now residing on the Eastern Shore in Maryland, I travel to the Wilmington, NC area in the Spring & Fall and love to explore my favorite old stomping grounds with you all!
You would think that with the world being completely out of whack in 2020 that I would have more downtime to upload beautiful galleries to the blog… and you my friend would be incorrect. Buttonwood Beach, MD │ Family Session
Whenever someone books a family photo session with a toddler in tow, I always wonder how in the world they are going to get it together to look presentable in front of a camera lens. Busy Mamas of the World, I salute you! Brittany and her sweet family certainly did not disappoint! Friends, just wait until you see how their little boy, Christopher lit up in front of the lens! I could not have asked for a more lovely family to photograph & loved exploring Buttonwood Beach with these three!

That little baby face, I can’t even stand it! Christopher was absolutely a dream to photograph. Such a doll baby! After a stop at the little pond area, we headed to Buttonwood Beach!
Whenever I am photographing families with young children, I know going into the session that I have to be ready for anything! Brittany wanted to give Christopher a sweet kiss and instead, he kept making kissy faces at the camera! How adorable is he??? Watch out, Mama, this boy is going to be a heart breaker!
Christopher recently celebrated his 1st Birthday! We had to take a fun prop photo and he did a fantastic job smiling at my camera while Mom and Dad stood on either side of the pier for a little added safety net!
Brittany is expecting and I had to sneak in a maternity photo or two, or three, of her adorable baby bump!

Adkins Arboretum in Tuckahoe State Park, Ridgely Maryland is a beautiful option for photography sessions. Even with the limitations that surround us at this crazy point in time in the world, the Arboretum still offers many beautiful locations throughout their walking trails to use for socially distanced photography sessions. Katie & Josh, thank you so much for taking me on this maternity photography adventure with you. I loved exploring the Arboretum and getting to know you two! I feel so incredibly lucky to not only have been introduced to this bunch years ago, but to keep being asked back to document their family as they grow over the years. You are the best! Can I just start by saying how much I love this beautiful family? I met Katie & Mike in North Carolina for their first daughter’s 1st birthday photo session after they were referred to me by my military-brat school days friend, Molly circa 1992 or so. Friends, social media is such a fantastic thing for us military brats! I have been able to reconnect with SO many old friends because of Facebook and the like! Flash forward to present day and I have been photographing this military family from North Carolina, to Georgia and now Virginia. Over the years I have seen their sweet Family of 3 has grown to a Party of Six! I feel so incredibly lucky to not only have been introduced to this bunch years ago, but to keep being asked back to document their family as they grow over the years. You do not want to miss their last photo session when I met their newborn, Nathan! You are the best! Love you guys!

Winter Maternity Session │Alexandria, VA
Winter maternity session in Alexandria, Virginia with two of the most beautiful people I know, inside and out.
It’s funny how the world works… Domonique & Darryl came into my life after being referred to me for their engagement session by a mutual friend. We hit it off and by the end of their engagement shoot, they felt like old friends to me, as we shared chit-chat about military life and Fort Bragg where Darryl and I each had lived growing up. I was later hired to photograph their wedding which in hindsight was definitely one of my favorite weddings to date! Their friends & family are amazing, so fun, so energetic and just truly amazing people and I had the BEST time on their wedding day! As luck would have it, when I moved to Maryland, they just so happened to be living in Alexandria, VA, a short car ride away and we were able to pick up our photo sessions where we left off with a Christmas session and the MOST AMAZING surprise birthday party for Darryl with Surprise Baby Announcement (stay tuned, post coming soon!). Now here we are just a few short weeks before the birth of their little girl spending a blustery Virginia afternoon together for their maternity session.

Prepare yourself, friends. This little miss is absolutely adorable! If you are trying to avoid baby fever, this is not the post for you. The baby rolls. The sweet expressions. The hand dimples!!! Birdie, you were a delight to photograph during our mini session! This gorgeous weather has me chomping at the bit to get outside in Maryland and photograph allllllllll the sweet families. And now for Miss Birdie’s debut :)

Megan and Shawn’s maternity session at Bellevue State Park was a beautiful celebration of love and anticipation as they prepare to welcome their baby girl, Camden Rose. With the park’s rustic charm as a backdrop, Megan glowed in a magenta gown while Shawn stood by her side, capturing the excitement of parenthood. From soft embraces to tiny pink baby shoes, every moment reflected the joy of this special season.
